WALK DESCRIPTION:
Have you ever wondered what an (almost) completely rebuilt old town looks like? Warsaw is a perfect example of this. Listed on the UNESCO list in 1980, it hides many stories, both sad, joyful and mysterious.
During the walk, we will delve into the streets of the Old Town and discover the people who graced these places with their presence.
We will see the most important monuments from the so-called classics: Sigismund's Column, the Royal Castle, the Mermaid Monument, the Barbican, the Presidential Palace, the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier and many other objects.
In the Old Town we will look for the Basilisk, and on Krakowskie Przedmieście we will look for the fortune-teller of His Majesty Stanisław August.
At the end we will find time for a moment of reflection to consider what Warsaw looked like before World War II.
WARSAW IN A NUTSHELL is the perfect walk for a first encounter with the city, but also for rediscovering the beauty of the Polish capital.
